SailEATtalia’s Procida Sail, Wine & Taste of Italy Flotilla.
Sail, eat and drink your way around Italy’s legendary Amalfi Coast as an add-on to your yacht charter for an additional €385 per person, which includes some dinners.
DAY 1: PROCIDA
Spend the evening in Procida’s pastel-hued marina and embrace yourself for a warm Italian welcome with a local Procidan wine tasting and traditional cuisine from the area. Sleep on board your yacht that night and wake up to your morning yacht briefing.
DAY 2: FORIO-ISCHIA
Head towards Ischia and stop off on the west coast at the port of Forio. Here, you will try their typical and famous rabbit dish, a recipe that has been passed down through the generations. (alternative entree available). Unwind and bask in the spectacular views from this artisanal restaurant at the top of the mountain and enjoy wine tasting in their traditional winery.
Sail south towards Sant’ Angelo and visit the thermal natural springs to make the most out of Ischia’s volcanic legacy. Or, unwind on Le Fumarole beach where locals and travellers alike cook fresh seafood on its thermal vapour hot spots!
DAY 3: SORENTO
Facing the Bay of Naples, you will anchor in the beautiful coastal town of Sorrento. Tuck into gnocchi alla Sorrentina in the bustling streets of Piazza Tasso or enjoy panoramic views overlooking Mount Vesuvius from the Villa Comunale.
If you’re wanting traditional Mediterranean food, Don Pedro won’t disappoint. The specialty is seafood, with the lobster being a must-try! Enjoy the stunning views whilst indulging in some of the most delicious food in Sorrento.
DAY 4: AMALFI
Explore the magnificent Amalfi Coast where you will be able to sample traditional food and wine. Your cook on the lead boat will prepare a small dish for everyone to enjoy, paired with some local wine.
You can’t visit the Amalfi Coast without anchoring at the pink terracotta hill town of Positano. After soaking in its wisteria-draped streets, head to Terrazza Cele for the best sunset views and try taglionlini with sea urchin.
DAY 5: CAPRI
Move on from Ischia towards Capri, where you will be free to explore the island’s picturesque blue grottos and ancient Roman ruins.
Take an old-fashioned chairlift to the summit of Mount Solaro from Piazza Vittoria for beautiful panoramic views as far as Naples and Vesuvius. If you have time, return to the pizza by enjoy an hour trail through pinewood and heathland.
DAY 6: ISCHIA PORT
Head back to Ischia but this time we will stop in the main port where you can enjoy wine tasting in one of the oldest wineries of the island and some of the delicious traditional local food.
Take the opportunity to visit Ischia’s medieval Aragonese Castle. With its colourful and turbulent history, enjoy walking through its intricate bougainvillea-covered walls that now hold beautiful local exhibitions and international film festivals in the summer.
DAY 7: PROCIDA
End the tasting adventure back in Procida. It goes without saying that you can’t visit Procida without discovering the Marina Corricella – a quaint fishing village, which can only be reached by boat or on foot. Arrive promptly at 5pm to enjoy our last group dinner of mouth-watering seafood and local wine.
If you have time, head to Terra Murata, Procida’s vibrant historic centre. Get lost in its winding streets and visit the old Royal Palace of Palazzo d’Avalos or wander around its church, Chiesa di Santa Margherita Nuvoa which boasts beautiful views overlooking Capri.
DAY 8: PROCIDA
After your last night on board, enjoy the morning at the base and check-out by 9am.
