IONIAN SEA ADVENTURE
An idyllic itinerary sailing the Ionian Sea, you’ll transit the Corinth Canal, before cruising onwards to the Greek town of Itea and the sandy coves of Cephalonia. From there, you’ll continue to Catania on the Sicilian east coast, before exploring the vibrant streets of Naples and concluding in the Roman port city of Civitavecchia.
Day 1 - Athens (Piraeus), Greece
Your cruise starts in Athens, where you’ll embark your superyacht.
Day 2 - Transit the Corinth Canal - Itea (Delphi)
Witness the impressive engineering feat of the Corinth Canal, a key navigational route for over 2,000 years, as you sail towards Itea. Surrounded by rolling hills covered in olive trees, this waterfront town is also close to the archaeological site of Delphi.
Day 3 - Cephalonia, Italy
Cephalonia is the largest of the Ionian Islands and arguably the most beautiful. The island was also made famous when it is featured in the Hollywood movie ‘Captain Corelli’s Mandolin’.
Day 4 - Catania, Italy
Catania is another of Sicily’s prized gems, a magnetic collection of winding streets and elegant architecture. At its centre is the awe-inspiring UNESCO World Heritage-listed monastery of San Benedetto, a symbol of Catania.
Day 5 - Catania, Italy
The city lies between the Mediterranean Sea and Mount Etna. It is home to many ancient sites and delicious Sicilian food.
Day 6 - Naples, Italy
Sat in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius, the unforgettable city of Naples possesses a passion to match its fiery neighbour.
Day 7 - Naples, Italy
The third-largest city in Italy, Naples does things very much in its own way. It is a sea of extraordinary art and culture, unparalleled cuisine and an unmatched history, all sat against the backdrop of one of Europe’s most iconic volcanoes.
Day 8 - Civitavecchia (Rome)
Today you’ll disembark and head to the airport for your flight home.
