This amazing adventure trip starts and ends in Svolvær.
If these dates don’t work, why not book the yacht charter for dates that do. Minimum 5 participants.
Please note: This trip is a working passage and you are expected to take turns with the cooking, crewing and cleaning of the boat throughout the trip.
Day 1: Meeting on the dock in Svolvær
We meet in the harbour in Svolvær at 16:00 and get settled in to the boat and get to know each other. We’ll go over safety routines while aboard, and let you familiarize yourself with it before we set off. As soon as it’s too late in the evening, we cast off for the night at anchor in a natural harbour. We eat dinner on our way, but it’s probably quite late, so you might want to eat dinner before our meeting.
Day 2: Skiing in Austnesfjorden
Depending on the weather, snow conditions and wind, we’ll decide together with the ski guide where to ski after an early breakfast. There are many opportunities in Austnesfjorden, such as Higravtindan and Geitgaljertind, which are also the most famous and demanding summits, but Rundfjellet and Kvittinden are also great options. Since we are skiing for the first time, we start off easier this day. In the afternoon we have no need to sail far as this fjord has lots of possibilities and many very nice phases and peaks
Day 3: Austnesfjorden
The Austnesfjord has a variety of terrain and offers different opportunities for fun under different conditions, so we will stay there. We can find easy and more challenging routes here, and if the weather is good we may be able to climb Geitgaljen, Lofoten’s most spectacular summit! If the snow conditions are good, this hill offers a magical descent all the way to shore. In the evening, we sail out of the fjord to Trollfjorden where we will spend the night.
Day 4: Majestic and mythical Trollheimen
If the conditions allow, we will head uphill before the sun warms up the hills, reaching for the peaks here towering above 1000 meters.
Day 5: Skiing in Trollheimen or Raftsundet
This day the program will depend on the conditions. One possibility is to go way up high, but we can also go more safe in the forests. There are so many places to go!
Day 6: Skiing in the mountainsides of Raftsundet
Raftsundet offers a wide variety of outdoor activities, in addition to great skiing. On top of that, the view towards the most amazing Lofoten skylight is amazing!
Day 7: Early morning skiing and sailing back
Early skiing this last day at a peak close to Svolvær, then we pack our stuff and tidy up the boat on our way back to Svolver, and end the trip latest at 16:00. Thank you for a great week together! The bus and speed ferry depart straight from the harbour, and distance to the airport is not far, but please add some wiggle room when booking your return transport.
The program may change according to weather and conditions, but it gives an indication of how we spend the days. We start every day with a good breakfast and make a packed lunch before we go ashore. On some days we will eat dinner right away after skiing, while on other days we will have a light meal when we come back to the boat, and then sail on before having a late dinner. Some days, we spend time fishing, or exploring the area. If the weather is really not in favor of skiing, we can spend the day sailing or doing something else fun.
